“Executive Functions
and the Learning Brain”
What are executive functions?
How do they affect our daily lives in school and at home?
Gain a deeper understanding of what executive functions are, how they develop over time and how they affect the many aspects of learning and daily life. This presentation is geared toward the developing brain of elementary to early adolescent (middle school) children. Come and learn about what the latest research available says about how to improve school performance and family relationships!
Presentation by Megan Reimann, who is a former teacher both in general education and special education. She specializes in working with adolescents and the developing, learning brain. She is also a parent of two children who have struggled in school due to delayed executive function skills and the many issues parents, teachers and the students face, especially during the adolescent phase of life!
