Challenge Program Receives Achievement Awards from Washington State

droppedImageCongratulations to the Challenge faculty for winning three 2009 Washington Achievement Awards! The Challenge program was honored with awards in Language Arts, Math, and Overall Excellence. The awards are conferred by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington State Board of Education. The Washington Achievement Awards recognize the state’s top-performing schools. Recipients demonstrate the capacity to profoundly affect student learning. The Overall Achievement Awards are given to the top five percent of all schools across the state. Challenge is one of two schools in Edmonds School District to receive an award, and one of only eight schools statewide to be recognized in three or more areas of achievement.

These are truly impressive achievements! For more information about this year’s winners and how schools qualify for these honors, visit the Educator Awards page on the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction’s website.
