Kids:  Curious to know how biofuels are made and how they impact the environment? Join other Challenge families and learn from the one and only BioLyle how biofuel is made from recycled restaurant oil on an appleseed reactor (a water heater converted to process vegetable oil)   How cool is that!?!

This is a fun and exciting hands-on 90 minute workshop.   Each child must be accompanied by a parent.  10:00 AM  Friday November 6, 2009  (NON STUDENT DAY).  Cost is $10.00 per child/parent team. All supplies provided and each team leaves with their own homemade biofuel.  Workshop limited to 15 child/parent teams.  Register early by returning the registration form and payment to CPA via your child’s teacher.   Or email cpaboard@yahoo.com

About the presenter:

Lyle Rudensey M. Ed., aka “BioLyle,” is an environmental health educator and former research scientist who makes all his own fuel using discarded restaurant oil.  He is passionate about biodiesel and the need for renewable energy, and has done presentations on this topic for over 1200 K-12 students and many community organizations.  He is co-founder of The Breathable Bus Coalition, and is an active member of the NW Biodiesel Network. classes@biolyle.com or biolyle@gmail.com
